Full Wave Regulator/Rectifier:
Trail Tech regulator/rectifiers are full wave, rather than half wave. A half wave regulator/rectifier will not regulate the stator while the lights are off. The voltage floats high on a half wave (over 14V) which can damage the battery. Using a full wave regulator/rectifier elminates this problem.

Trail Tech Regulator/Rectifier charge limiting circuit:
Trail Tech regulator/rectifiers have a charge limited circuit (the blue wire.) The charge limiting circuit is essentially a trickle charger, used in electrical systems with small batteries (most motorcycles.) It limits how fast the battery can recharge.
If the battery is large (quads), then faster power can go in. For these situations, cut off the blue charge limiting wire so power can flow faster.

Trail Tech Regulator/Rectifier specifications:
Trail Tech regulator/rectifiers are 150 watt full wave (no cooling required.) Charge limit circuit is set to 1 amp. Charge limit circuit need not be used, simply cut the blue wire. The output rates are unlimited. If the blue wire is used on the system, remember to wire the load into the red and black wires from the regulator/rectifier - do not wire the load to the blue wire, or the load is drawing directly off the battery, rather than off both stator and battery.
