Trail Tech Batteries: Helmet Lights

Battery Types:
  • Li-Ion Battery Packs:
Used for Trail Tech helmet lights. The Li-Ion batteries are a high performance, low weight solution. Helmet lights can also be run from a vehicle mounted battery.
Two battery packs can be used to power the Trail Tech 8” Race Light, in order to avoid a DC conversion (you will need a special connector cable.)
  • NiMH Vehicle Mount Battery:
Useful for DC conversions. Similar to the helmet light battery packs, but mounts to the bike and is recharged by the bike’s electrical system.
  • Lead Acid Batteries:
For bikes with enough space for mounting, lead acid batteries are the most cost effective route, while providing well known reliability.

Electrical: Battery Bag
$19.95
040-BAG-01
Trail Tech battery bag; mounts battery to flat surface. Bag is compatible with 7800-LI (Li-ION helmet light battery) or 040-BATT3.7 (NiMH vehicle battery.) Mount batteries very solidly to vehicle body plastic (such as the rear fender or air box.)

The black plastic plate bolts to the vehicle plastic (the plate will flex to allow for uneven surface mounting such as a fender.) The bag will Velcro to the plate, and then finally be held tightly by the cinch belt. Batteries can be inserted into the bag via the zipper opening at the bottom of the bag. Bag will not fall off vehicle while riding.

Note: If using with a Li-ION helmet light battery, remove the belt clip from the battery before inserting into the bag to ensure maximum Velcro contact between the bag and mounting plate.
